IMPORTANT NOTE

If you are an in-shelter volunteer and part of the cleaning crew or support team, it’s important to remember that taking photos of the kitties comes AFTER volunteer responsibilities. 

The work we do in-shelter talking with visitors, keeping a clean environment, and interacting with the kitties, is the most important work we do as volunteers and so we never want the social media tasks to interfere with that work.

CHECKLIST FOR TAKING PHOTOS

✅ Landscape photos are almost always better then vertical photos. 
✅ If you can, get photos when the cat is looking at the camera.
✅ We always need photos of sleeping cats.
✅ Even if the cat is not looking at the camera, we often can get creative with those photos.  As long as the photo is not blurry and a quality picture, we can add it into the mix.
✅ We only need photos of cats still available for adoption.

✅ Take photos after volunteer duties are done.  
✅ We can’t attribute or give you credit for your photos.
✅ Label your photos BEFORE putting them in the folder with the cat’s name FIRST.
